Yoga Shivirs
Yoga Sadhana Shivirs in Bengaluru 2024-25
A new initiative was taken on 8th September 2024, Param Guru Swami Sivananda’s Janmotsava: conducting Yoga Shivirs in Bengaluru. On one Sunday of the month, these free yoga camps are being held in different parts of the city, including one at the ashram. Titled 'Yoga of Synthesis, Of Swami Sivananda, As Taught by Swami Satyananda, As Lived by Swami Niranjanananda', this is yet another effort to take the classical yogic knowledge to people at large. The Shivir programs flow through the practices of mantra, asana, pranayama, meditation, yoga nidra, and yogic lifestyle. There is also an opportunity to ask questions and interact.
If you wish to organize a Shivir in your community or locality, please contact the Ashram Office.

Yoga Shivirs in Rural Karnataka
Under the guidance of Bihar School of Yoga, in a run-up to the launch of the second chapter of yoga at the Munger Yoga Symposium, Atma Darshan Yogashram conducted a series of 1–3 day yoga shivirs (camps) across the state of Karnataka in 2018. Over 20 Shivirs were held in various locations during the period of Jan–Apr 2018. The Shivirs comprised a session of Asana and Pranayama in the morning, and bhajans, kirtans and satsang in the evenings.
Thereafter, Atmadarshan continued on its own to conduct these Shivirs every year (2019 & 2020) until the pandemic stalled the programs. Our teachers travelled far into the rural areas of Karnataka making sincere efforts to spread the tradition of Satyananda Yoga. In 2019, 13 Shivirs were conducted and in 2020, 12 Shivirs were conducted.
