Back pain is one of the most common disorders today, often due to an unhealthy spine created by our lifestyle. Long hours at the desk, bad postural habits, lack of exercise and physical activity, excessive strain on certain muscles, besides actual injury can all result in discomforts related to the back.

A balanced regime of yogic techniques such as backward and forward bending asanas can correct postural defects and neuro-muscular imbalances of the vertebral column. The yogic approach also gently loosens and strengthens the associated muscles, making way for a healthier spine. An integrated approach of yoga, combining asana with practices of awareness and relaxation ultimately allows life to be more joyous and harmonious.

During this five-day Wellness program, we will learn various practices of hatha yoga and raja yoga, including asanas specifically intended for the back, as well as yoga nidra and meditation, to release stress at all levels, and experience peace and wellness.


Instructions for participants to all classes:

  • The practices are suitable for all levels of flexibility and fitness

  • Please wear comfortable clothing for ease of movement

  • Ensure that you have not eaten for at least 2 hours before class
