Yoga Anubhava Series - Mudra Sadhana

In yogic terminology, mudra means a gesture. It is a position held by the body or body parts to create specific states of mind and energy. Mudras are powerful transformative practices that influence the energy system, mood and perception, and deepen the awareness. They also have strong therapeutic effects and can aid in healing various debilitating conditions of the body.

There are many yogic mudras. Some involve the hands, some the face and head, and some the whole body. Usually they are practiced as an adjunct to other yogic practices; however, by taking the time to explore them in some depth we can begin to appreciate the subtle power of these practices that are an integral part of all yoga sadhana.

In this five-day Yoga Anubhava Series, we will delve into some important mudras which are useful in self-healing, redirecting the energy flow, developing mental focus and awareness and cultivating higher awareness.
