“Ashram life is based on disciplines that are referred to in Ayurveda, the Upanishads, Vedas and Tantra. If you have the eyes to see and the wisdom to understand, you will discover that each system which has been in place for a long time represents an aspect of ashram living as enunciated in the tradition.”

Paramahamsa Swami Nirajanananda Saraswati.

Ashram life gives you the opportunity to get in touch with yourself. As you enter the gates of Atma Darshan Yogashram, you instinctively take a deep breath and relax. The ashram is a space to consciously disengage with the outside world – cell phones are switched off, there is no TV or any other contact with the outside world. As the outside chatter fades, the masks that we wear for the sake of society drop.

The ashram is a place for sattvic living – a regulated routine, wholesome, simple, vegetarian food, yogic practices for physical fitness, mental alertness and emotional strength. And an opportunity to offer selfless service or Seva. Seva or Karma Yoga follows the principle of performing actions without expectations of recognition or reward. As one follows this principle, one discovers the joy in living.

Ashram stays are recommended at least once in a year so that you can get in touch with your true self.

For residential stays at the ashram, please contact the ashram office.
